For sure. That just isn’t particularly hpful if you actually need the VPN to access the content (either to get around a network restriction or geolocked content or whatever).

I’ve always assumed they just have a list of IP addresses that they know VPNs use. So it would become a challenge of finding an IP address that’s not on a list. Easiest way would probably be to know someone int he area you’re trying to spoof as and work through their local IP address. Like my NAS can be used for a…
Yeah, fire is natural in California. But in places like Tahoe we’ve also made things worse. Aggressive fire management allowed combustibles to build up. We cut nearly all the trees down around Lake Tahoe and the ones that replaced them aren’t as hardy, leading to a lot of dead timber in areas, which is ripe for fires.…
This isn’t an issue the police would be any help with. The driver appears to have gotten hung up on something trying to make the turn. Flashing lights won't fix that.
Yeah but look how thoroughly he’s beating it. I mean, he really owned that strawman.
I miss Woodman’s. I know it’s terribly stereotypical, but that cheese aisle...
Yeah, anti-grav is definitely a force acting against gravity. It’s pushing the vehicle up by pushing down against the ground. If it cancelled gravity for the vehicle you’d have all sorts of other problems. People floating inside vehicles. No response to varying terrain. And you’d quickly leave the surface and start…
You can have a good game made by a bad company. That’s not even a remotely difficult or unusual scenario to have.
Gamers are collectively a whiny bunch of assholes. But CDPR made the decision to release the game they did. They can own the issues.
Except it clearly is, because a shit ton of people were confused.
And yet a third of people apparently were confused. Its almost as if your anecdotal take isn’t the be all end all. You can keep making the same statements, but the actual honest to goodness reality is that a lot of people were confused. It wasn’t a small handful of naive people. Your experience isn’t everyone else’s,…
Skye is definitely not obvious. I’ve known just as many men with that name as women. And since it’s not a particularly common name for either gender, it’s perfectly reasonable for someone to only know a male with the name (which was the case with me for quite some time).
You do you, but I love how your stance is basically “everyone bow to my desires, and if you don’t then clearly you don’t care enough about me to matter.”
So use them. No one’s stopping you. I just don’t understand the “I’m here to announce that I’d rather use a cross patform service” statement when the whole point is this is now cross platform. If someone wants to video chat and I can simply click a link or a button and talk with them, isn’t that the ultimate goal?…
Buncha whiny babies hanging out on Lifehacker today, lol. Apple tried to make this thing an open platform more than a decade ago, before there were numerous other offerings, and ran into issues with patents (specifically, one particular patent troll named VirnetX). After rewriting everything and at least partially extr…
I’m not following. If you can use it from your Android phone or windows PC now, how is it platform-specific?
It’s less common than it should be, but it’s probably not as rare as you’re thinking. Last I saw, about half of Americans with credit cards are carrying zero balance forward month to month. We’d be better off if that was closer to 100%, but there are still 100,000,000+ Americans who pay off all their credit cards…
We can use contactless most places in the US, though I’m not sure whether the cards would play nice with European systems or not. COVID seemed to push places towards contactless.
I see 30 to 60 very clearly, and find itimpactful for things like FPS games. But beyond that I don’t see any meaningful gain, and even 60 isn’t necessary for things without a fair amount of movement.
