Yeah, I'd agree with you that like most videogames, most comic book writing is god awful. That's not to say it all is bad, nor should we argue that all videogame writing/voice acting is bad.

Speaking of flame bait...

What's wrong with Geralt's voice? That's not the same actor as in the PC games. What a strange thing to change. Maybe it's just placeholder, though I doubt it.

Good question. You just reminded me that I didn't care about DMC before the Ninja Theory announcement, and I still don't really care. Same or different, the series no longer holds any real appeal to me in and of itself. If it's received as a great game, I'll give it a shot, but otherwise I still have zero interest.

Except that when it comes to videogames, the representation of both sexes is gratuitous, over idealized, and in no way, shape, or form realistic. It doesn't matter what gender you choose to point out, they're both absurdly presented 95% of the time. They may be skewed in different directions, but they are skewed

You're right, but I'm still holding a candle that Nintendo will throw the American fans a few bones before completely pulling the plug on the Wii. They've got a fairly apparent PR problem right now in the US. The 3DS isn't meeting expectations and the Wii U's reception literally made their stock price drop overnight.

True, but all of those games are games that are available for other platforms in one form or another (other than Kid Icarus), which doesn't make any of them a strong reason to need to own a 3DS in and of themselves.

For me, yes. Maybe not for every gamer, but I'm in my 30's now, and was in my 20's then, and have played Nintendo franchises my entire life. I'm a little burned out on the rehashes. Most of them a very good games, but I can only get so excited about a Mario title- it's worth a rental just to play it. I'd argue that a

No argument, but for me, I already own DoA on the 360, and would rather play it in that setting, so it's just not enough to make me want a 3DS.

Iwata hands... priceless. I've just been burned by my last 3 Nintendo hardware purchases. My Gamecube, GBA SP, and Wii were woefully under served with software I was interested in. IF the 3DS gets some amazing games coming to it, I'll consider it, but it's going to take a lot to convince me. A lot more than I ever

Perhaps not, but it's usually a good idea to make sure you have some halfway interesting games ready when you launch a videogame, console.

"So You Want to Score a 3DS for $170 Two Days Early?"

Very Christian actually. I just took their moral lessons seriously. As soon as one murder becomes justifiable, every potential murderer becomes emboldened. I recognize the reality that we live in and that mine is not the moral fabric of the rest of the world, but just because it's justifiable to some doesn't make it

"There is no need to lower the price just because somebody else that happens to be in the video game business decided that they were going to lower their price."

Agreed. Hey- nice to have an actual back and forth with someone on Kotaku. It's been so long since that's happened that it's sadly refreshing. Thanks for that!

I don't disagree with what you are saying, but the point that is generally missed in this comment thread is that most Battlefield fans think that's a good thing that their favorite franchise doesn't appeal to the stereotypical CoD enthusiast.

Gotcha. I was sort of responding to all of the posts I was reading (which didn't stop me from responding to them too...) not just yours I guess. Pre and post match lobby chatter wouldn't be a bad option to break things up and allow a little smack talk. Besides that though, being able to carry a good set of teams from
