I see what you are saying. A lot of weddings I've been to, even a few for close friends and family, weren't all that memorable for me. It is an accomplishment when people are talking about your wedding for years afterwards, but that's not really the point. At least, I sure as hell hope it's not.

I don't know of a single married couple who thinks their wedding wasn't special. The decor has almost nothing to do with it.

Because all wedding videographers shoot the reception on sticks?

Yeah,

Thank you for even reading my last rant!

"Honestly, exclusives are what get me to buy a console."

Yeah it will be interesting to see what happens with the next gen. I wonder how many XBL users will be too invested in the platform to abandon it- this is where backwards compatibility and (hopefully) continued access to already purchased XBL content gives MS the chance to stay on top. But I personally am starting to

My first Christmas console unboxing. I remember it well. Hell, I'm glad I can remember anything about 1986 at this point.

Too True. It's like Ferris Bueller said: "I asked for a car, and got a computer."

You know, I have a Kinect, and it doesn't get a ton of use from me. But I am still happy with the purchase. I'd try to swing a better deal than $150 perhaps, but with the price drops on the games that take advantage of it well (Child of Eden) and the functionality added into traditional games like Skyrim, I am pretty

Agreed. I don't really think that piracy equates lost sales they way publishers do. Most pirates are stealing games they wouldn't otherwise buy, imo. They'll just say whatever they can to rationalize doing what they want to do. It's still illegal and whatnot, but not as big a problem as many like to claim it is.

That's pushing it a bit. Put the figures in relative terms to how much money CoD was making for Activision at large: Billions. Yes those bonuses are crazy high, but the success of the franchise they created isn't exactly an everyday occurrence.

"You are guaranteed that things will be mostly "easier" compared to those in equivalent scenarios."

How is essentially saying if you're a 'white, straight, male' that your entire life is the equivalent of 'easy mode' regardless of anything else, construable as anything but 'intent to offend'?

I don't think the people deriding the article here are dismissing the idea that 'white privilege' isn't a real thing. They are taking issue with being treated like morons about it. And sorry, saying life is a certain way for people of any race because they are of a certain race is, inherently, racist. That's just a

There is no argument written above. White privilege is a real thing- haven't read a comment yet claiming it doesn't exist. This article is just written about in the most irresponsible and infantile way possible. And MOOGLEKING is right- the author is personifying the problem with discrimination, by embodying it on the

Well, when you write something that is obviously only intended to offend people, whilst saying nothing intelligent about the topic upon which you are writing, it's pretty easy to gauge people's response to your work. If it's bullshit, people are going to call it out as such.

I'd say it's a valid observation.

Exactly how is this constructive?

"When some people in society only see themselves reflected on tv as caricatures of stereotypes of who they're presumed to be, then yeah, some people face that every day."
