It looks like some jrpg makers are starting to push the genre in the direction I wanted to see it go ten years ago... about time!

@Jigsaw Complex: Get some education on the issue before shooting your mouth off. Lots of American companies knowingly deal with militants and guerillas, directly funding their operations for the sake of maximizing their profits.
@Edix: While I agree with you to a point, and consider consumer advocacy to be the most powerful way to tell corporations what our moral threshold his for their opertating procedures, it's not like it's Microsoft's fault that there is a war in the Congo. They just shouldn't be in the business of inadvertabtly…
@One Man Freak Show: I liked this write up- the tabloid style coverage of video game liking celebrities and their tweeting habits? Not so much...
Watch out Fahey- Fox news might jump all over you for not mentioning creationism in this post...
His IMDB profile pic makes him look like a cross between that dude from Twilight and Dana Gould.
My favorite part of this post, from the Apple letter:
There's a big difference between what people say they will do and what they actually wind up doing.
@Wozamil: Or should we substitute '3D' with 'HD-DVD' instead?
@no computers in texas: One anecdote about the people you personally know talking about 3DTVs right after watching a commercial about 3DTV's isn't exactly hard evidence, or anything remotely conclusive... time will tell though.
@Mr.Gawn: Other examples:
@JoeBushido: Yes but the entire world is not presented stereoscopically- with intermittent images flashing each eye separately- that shit gives me a headache after about a half an hour... real life, on the other hand, does not...
@Jason Leigh: Or are they the same complaints as when 3D came out the first time, sucked, and still kinda sucks today?
@Zim: Your depth of field is constantly being messed with in 3D, it's like your eyes aren't sure what to focus on so you have to spend more time looking around the frame for the center of focus until your eye can adjust... I hate it.
Seriously- it's like the 1950's up in here. 3D will run it's course and become, for a second time, a silly little footnote in the evolution of entertainment technology.
@FrankieViturello: First thing I thought too... "Who'll stop the rain?"
Rez. Flower. Heavy Rain. Half Life 2. Uncharted 2. Shadow of the Colossus.
Shadow of the Collosus. Rez. Flower. All good places to start.
"It feels like people are taking this empty shell and just swapping out the story and art and whatnot."
You know some PR person at EA got a tersely written email by at least one gaming rag editor, if not two...
