There are minor differences, sure, but it’s pretty much the same thing. With the exception of the shifter springing back into place when you’re done, there’s no difference in the experience.

Aren't traditional automatic shifters 3 clicks to park as well? What's the difference here?

Guess I’m the only one. I figure, the car has a parking brake... and I’m parked, might as well.

Hi can I give you a hug? Hugs make the hurt go away

Well then! Why is this a thing?

I suppose that could be true. That being said, I fear that the parking brake is becoming a lost art

Sure there is. The shifter physically moves just like any other. The ONLY difference is that it springs back into place when you let go. But if you push it until it stops, it's in park. Like every other car.

Every push to start car I've driven won't turn off the engine if the car isn't in park.

Question since you own one:

Interesting that no one is mentioning engaging the parking brake. Is that no longer a thing people do?

Yet, with the exception of the shifter springing back to the middle physical position, the narrative in that video applies to almost every automatic shifter out there. “You have to push it ALL THE WAY UP for the vehicle to be in park”. Kind of like a 1992 civic.

There is an illuminated “P” on the shifter as well as an indicator on the dash. The vehicle absolutely provides visual feedback to the driver. It's then up to the driver to pay attention to that feedback.

1. How do we quantify “enough” feedback?

How can it ever not be voluntary if they’ve already done so voluntarily? Kind of too late for it to not be voluntary don’t you think?

Ugh... Purposefully tainted food is already banned, so not sure what your point is. Guns serve one purpose, to kill. If you didn’t have food you would die. If you didn’t have a gun you just wouldn’t have a gun. Not sure if you’re actually this slow or just acting that way.

So if something wasn’t explicitly mentioned as a right in the constitution, then it was never a right? It’s only a privilege?

Are you being serious here?

Nobody in this country needs to hunt animals. It’s a hobby. If you’re a real man and you want to hunt, grab a fucking spear and stop being such a pussy.

Ha! You nut jobs are the best! The other gun freak in this conversation just made the same argument and I was mentioning how your arguments write themselves, specifically the “X can kill people, so should we ban X” argument you sheep are so fond of.

So... No one ever had the right to own slaves in America? Is that right?
