So basically, a car that can’t adjust the speed of the wipers correctly is supposed to be level 5 autonomous driving by the end of the year.

Mercedes was not really a luxury brand in Europe to the extent they are in the USA.  They have made more affordable cars in Europe for a long time.

Consumers in the E.U. are kind of being forced into it. The Chevy Volt did not sell very well in the USA even though it was much better than the Prius Prime, but the RAV 4 Prime is selling like crazy. The theory is now that it has to be a crossover or an SUV, but one car does not make a trend.

People flash cars all of the time.  This is nothing new except for this time it is a Tesla.

If the mod has its own MCU then Tesla can’t brick anything.  The software should be completely independent from the Tesla software.  The driver can switch back and forth by disconnecting the MCU.

That would mean no deliveries or car service.  That is not very practical.

They are still open to “local” traffic.  I put local in quotes because if you can’t find parking then it is a through street.  It is not like people have driveways
