Things I love: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Many days, no business comes to his hut.

Just got around to watching Krisha on a plane earlier this week. As if I didn’t have enough to be nervous about in that situation, it was probably the most anxiety-provoking movie I’ve seen since Frownland. Krisha Fairchild is tremendous in it.

“Even the advertisements between segments are entertaining.”

Agreed. But add Eric Bogosian in there too. Have all three of them play brothers in something.

Is anyone dunking on him for calling them “septopoids” instead of the correct heptapods? I would look myself, but... Twitter. *shudder*

He also directed Gia! Before this I don’t know he was anything but an actor, much less a Pulitzer winner.

But do they still feel extremely horrible?

Now playing

I co-sign with these two guys, and here is my contribution. I also watched a couple of seasons of Silicon Valley before Middleditch was on CBB and I realized he could be hysterically funny when unleashed. I’ve seen them live twice, too, both great shows.

Oh shit, a movie that pits Brendan Frye against Benoit Blanc! That turns into a team-up!

True, but the fact that it’s a mystery movie being written and directed by Rian Johnson does. (Assuming he's doing those things.)

Forget it, the two Jakes. It’s two Chinatowns.

Favorite KRZ moments, all? I love the final turn of the head in The Entertainment, which is my favorite entr’acte, and if course, second floor, bears.

I know it’s not the most unusual thing, particularly as I’m a middle-aged man, but I’m kind of astounded every time she headlines a movie that she is as famous as she apparently is despite not once having been involved in a project I’ve had the slightest interest in watching.

Happy Monday to you too

I’m flattered that you think I can afford these things.

Jeez, that’s your takeaway from Blue Valentine? It’s been a while since I saw it, but as I recall, Williams was the only one holding that marriage together, while Gosling was one of the most unreliable, hotheaded husbands in film who doesn’t actually beat his wife, and every problem they had was his fault.

Sounds like you need to watch the movie Columbus.
