I spent a couple years floating through community college and a shitty job to get to something better. I think the key is keeping your goals tangible, reminding yourself that it's worthwhile for whatever's at the end of the tunnel.

I love AHS but it has some seriously shallow writing. I'm always wishing for deeper characters. It would solve a lot of their plotting problems, too - giving fewer characters more substance would be more rewarding than just introducing random new elements when one character's arc starts to run out of steam.
