I won't speak for the "commentariat," but if anything, the Jezebel article is supportive of male victims, recognizing that they do, indeed, exist in large numbers. Should they have included the numbers including non-penetrative sexual assault on men? Sure. It's fair to ding the article on that.

I think we're missing a larger point, here - it's not about individual experiences. Those vary. Everyone has their hardships.

Which survey are you referring to?

I'm asking you for sources - like, sites or magazines you read on a regular basis, in the way that I'm a pretty frequent Jezebel reader. Or articles.

Hear hear.

Literally no MRA site I've ever seen has given me this impression, with all their talk about "beta-males," "feminazis," etc. Would welcome sources for this more positive MRAism (sincerely, this isn't me being facetious).

What no gross

Could possibly get on board with a quality blueberry milk, but bubblegum milk sounds like a travesty. I'm sorry for the horrors wrought upon you by vending machines past.

If I preempt the trend and open the first moloko bar, how much money do you think I will make?

Totally agree! All the supernatural stuff just adds TV entertainment value to real-world problems - which is an interesting approach.

Man, you're entitled to your opinions, but Sucker Punch is so not a feminist film it makes my head spin. It's just a "hot girls fighting" slide show - I'm supposed to believe, inception style, that this girl's escape within an escape is to do sexy dances? Or even - the SEXIEST DANCE? Nope nope nope

I'm late to the AHS party but I gotta agree with that point - this show is hella campy.

This is an interesting and enlightening comment, and a perspective I hadn't considered - that not having to think about your gender is an example of privilege. Thanks!

It's really interesting to me that someone else feels this way!

I appreciate the ideas in this article and agree with them, but it has some major fact checking issues regarding Ann Hutchinson and witch trials that are undermining its position of authority a little bit. Would love to see an updated version with more accurate information!

"Witch" was kind of a catch-all for a woman in poor standing with the community, or in some way undermining the status quo. It could mean a lot of things.

But midwives weren't generally targeted, broadly speaking. Certainly, witchcraft was used as a means of explaining away misfortune, including infant death, but most people accused of witchcraft were old and poor, often beggars in the community. That's not to say midwives were never accused, just that they weren't the

Thank you!
