“I’m more afraid of racist Zionists who support Apartheid Israel than of the mentally ill young people the #FBI recruits to join ISIS.”

Oh I meant I, personally, had only heard of Nicki Minaj on the radio at that point, and was dragged along to see the Other Woman so I was blindsided by seeing her in there.

I can’t understand all these musicians who try to act with absolutely no background in acting (Julianne Hough, Cardi) - totally fine to cast them in bit parts where they feature dancing or singing or whatever, but they can’t carry a movie.

Omigosh, if all the great snarky TV butlers could get together that would be magical shade! Throw in Mr Belvedere and Benson for good measure.

Right?? I love The Nanny and don’t want anyone rebooting it (it was perfect the way it is!!), but if we’re really going to do this, Awkwafina is RIGHT THERE with the right Queens accent and fewer felony assault charges.

And how did you respond? I wish that The Nanny and The Fresh Prince had a crossover episode showcasing the butlers, particularly with them throwing shade and/or outright shittalking their employers.

Seriously. My “support” of this person starts and ends at not allowing her to be torn down just for being a former stripper. She is plenty problematic in other areas.

I think I see my 6yr old grandfather's Christmas present. Thank you!

It bothers me that this is an article about her, but the picture is of her boyfriend. I clicked into other links, and there are only pictures of Mike Pence or Stephen Miller. Scumbag or no, she is a human woman, and not an invisible presence defined solely by the men in her life.

They made for each other.

Scumbags date scumbags. Shocker.

Seeing a bunch of former “Fitspo” accounts morph overnight into body positive accounts without changing their content has been funny to watch over the last few years.

Wow. I get that hearing someone talk about their body all the time can be really exhausting, but to tell someone who clearly hates their body an unhealthy amount that the concept of trying to love it is “not for her” is really really shitty. You are just as wrong as Hazel. And just as unnecessarily mean.

Christ, I forgot about Jameela’s condition.

I think she’s opening up a conversation about body neutrality, asking people to imagine what it would be like to not think about their body, good or bad, for awhile. It’s a more passive conversation than she’s had in the past where she’s been incredibly forthcoming about the dangers of celebrities hawking diet fads

So...doesn’t it sounds like your sister has some pretty bad body dysmorphia? And that she’s precisely the kind of person who’d benefit from learning how to not obsess about her body?

Yeah, that definitely could have been phrased/discussed better. Because while yes, body positivity should be for everyone, there are some genuine critiques about how the movement is being co-opted. However, the co-opting is not coming from skinny people trying to accept themselves, it’s coming from the diet industry

“As the body positivity movement, which began with the radical fat acceptance movement of the 1960s, has been co-opted recently by women of totally socially-acceptable, skinny shapes and sizes who think the movement is just for anyone who feels good or wants to show off their armpit hair”

“The body positive movement doesn’t put people with disabilities and other marginalised bodies into the foreground,” writer Rebekah Taussig told the Guardian in a piece on the term. “Body neutrality, I think, has the power to be really useful in particular to people with disabilities, especially those with
