I’m kind of equally offended, but I worry more about the neo-nazies endangering my safety.

There are loads of sites like that. Colombia University runs a particularly good one called Go Ask Alice.

NPR’s code switch podcast did an interview with two POC reporters about the Trump compaign and one of the reporters mentioned that he felt like his Jewish colleagues were getting some of the worst of the hate from Trump supporters. It infuriates me on so many levels that a segment of the Orthodox world is still going

I think you can’t use the 6.2 number as your baseline cause that number is inherently going to have high risk populations (like transpeople, but also sex workers and gang members and everything else). A better analysis will break out murder rates by demographics like race/ethnicity, religion, SES and other factors

Chandler seems to have had a decently white collar data analyst type job, so was probably making more than the rest of the crew and therefore enough to afford his place, specially with a roommate.

Well yeah, you conflate (and seem to keep conflating) a political belief with a religious one...and honestly it’s gonna be a bit of a hobby horse for people cause of how often antisemitism and antizionism get lumped together.

Tangential, but you can be strictly observant without being Zionistic (like a lot of hassidic sects) or borderline atheist and very Zionistic (like many of the founders of the Zionistic political movement). They’re not really intrinsically tied together.

They’ve been getting a lot of criticism from other media and recently ran an oped that was critical of them, so it may be in response to that.

She also had that amazing Polaroid dress that was fresh and sleek and modern that I wanted to own and that was a look she never really tried after that episode.

Quick google search indicates that in one situation it seemed to be the ready to wear/commercial aspect and in another it was the girl’s personaility. When it came to body types though, he seemed to be rather chill.

Thanks!

Siriano is awesome ‘cause being inclusive isn’t new for him (and so probably not just a marketing stint); even back on PR he was one of the extremely few designers who really embraced the real people challenges and the people he was dressing for those challenges.

I’m also on year just this side of embarrassing of working on my PhD and I so don’t care. Like nobody actually thinks Luke or Dre or whoever have doctorates. The only fake Dr.’s I can really be bothered about are the ones getting theirs via diploma mill, and that's mostly cause they're trying to pass off their fake

Eh, most of the recent studies on teens show they’re having less sex, and it seems mostly ‘cause school is winning out and improved sex ed, so it’s not unreasonable that as they grow into adulthood some of those trends continue given increased rates of college and grad school attendance and that same sex ed. I doubt

Huh? I’m the child of immigrants who themselves are the children of immigrants, and they migrated for a mix of economic and political reasons. I'm on the same page as you, but people need to move to places where they can support themselves and so empty houses in ghost towns are very rarely feasible solutions to

There was a guy on the roster in my first year of grad school who didn’t ever show up to class. Rumor was that he’s enrolled for the visa and then bounced cause he got employment and that it happens every semester.

Out of curiosity, why?

The problem is many of those houses aren't in the same places as the people who need them, nor in the same places as the jobs necessary to maintain them, much less jobs those homeless people could realistically get.
