It’s a mediocre user experience and I have no idea why someone else doesn’t have a competing entry into the market.

I’m so so confused. Like print on demand makes sense for thingaverse and like maybe some of the jewelery and t-shirts they sell, but they’re a fast fashion retailer and that so doesn’t gel with the fashion print on demand market that aims to entice people to shell out (‘cause it’s expensive) for staples like shirts…
Yep, 6th, 7th, and maybe 8th floor has doors out unto the roof. I’ve been there long enough that I vaguely remember what was there before the cafe.../when that whole area was built up.
We very possibly could have run past each other then... I’ve been liking NAC more since they’ve opened up the roof terraces but yeah, currently the most inviting building is probably Shepard.
I don’t, but I’ve got a friend who graduated while undocumented (from engineering to boot). Shoot me an email at story645@gmail.com and I can try to put you in touch.
Congrats!
That’s CUNY for you, ‘specially CCNY since it houses the engineering school & the accelerated medical school program. White people were always a minority in my classes (taking & teaching), and most of those white people were either immigrants or children of immigrants (or Orthodox Jews...).
OT, but I graduated from CCNY and adjuncted there for years and this is my home campus, so super psyched about this...but didn’t go ‘cause campus is probably a total zoo. On the other hand, my advisor is there so I can ask him about it...
I meant that it can be hard to get funding deferred for a semester, and sometimes it’s continginet on continous enrollment so that could have been a blocker for her.
Thanks, but personally I write my stuff in latex.
Looks fun/like something that could be great for shorter assignments.
Meet old computer scientist and hangout with them. Meet people in the industry. Helps you get out of your head.
Probably consulting or research in a quasi-academic type setting. And thanks ☺
I muddled through and got my BE and am now doing a phd in CS and going through much the same cycle and am caught up in similar take leave/lose funding questions and am therefore in an almost permenant state of burnt out.
I do. ‘specially if you’re on financial aid (that was a major eeason why I didn’t take a leave when I probably should have) and ‘specially in engineering. Like I had documentation from a licensed therapist for why I was screwing something up and I couldn’t even get an incomplete. Engineering tends to be very “just…
Yeah like the $60 wasn't the point and Banksy knew people wouldn't pay the price-that was the point of the piece.
Like that time Banksy put paintings of his that would have sold for thousands of dollars with his name attached on sale in Central Park for $60 anonymously and no one gave a shit?
Considering that loads of modern and contemporary art is essentially about trolling the viewer/art establishment, this “art project” is a legit and kinda brilliant work of art. The meta just ads to this being a great sample for his art school application.
No, it’s a manga that became an anime (that was really well known and running on Cartoon Network) that spawned a dozen different media properties. Either way though, the audience for Ghost in the Shell pretty much falls into two catagories: 1) does not care if ScarJo is the lead 2) is angry that ScarJo is the lead.
For example, when the Russians talk to one another in the Russian Embassy, they speak Russian (with subtitles)!
