Those are limited by genre and focus on vocals or instrumentals if the performer doesn’t do vocals, so they’re only judging the performer. (not the song or how it’s produced)

Record of the year is for the production and performance (recording) whereas song of the year is for the lyrics and composition (songwriting). It gets muddled cause often everyone and their cat ends up credited as a songwriter.

These are the standing room tickets aimed at college students, so completely different ball game than high school students. Like not great, but also not $400.

Teen shows on the whole tend to do a better job with them-like Everwood had a fantastic episode and I’ve heard that Degrassi has handled it well a few times. I wonder if it’s just greater sensitivity to the audience or something?
