I’ve voted consistently for the last 19 years. Today for the first time I was asked for ID at my polling place. I live in CA. I do not need ID to vote.  I live in a hotly contested district. I wonder how many people walked away because they didn’t have ID and don’t know their rights.

My friend’s water broke this morning but she stopped to vote on the way to the hospital. Her daughter is going to be fierce as fuck!
