Ahhh he’s so great, he tours at the venue where I work about yearly and he’s always a delight.
Damn, I love Jason Isbell. He’s a hell of a musician, and he has no problem calling out idiots on Twitter.
Starred for the Buffy reference.
For whatever reason, I am still watching Nashville. I have to say that it was good soap on ABC in the first 1.5 seasons and then went off the rails. It’s not bad on CMT, but less off-the-charts camp, and more grounded drama (relative to the show’s premise of course). Anyway, Rhiannon Giddens is currently a guest star!
I also loved Emily (which they butchered with that TV show) or anything with a female character, set in the past, by Canadian authors really. Ever read O.R. Melling? Her’s were a little more fantasy based but also awesome.
There was a trilogy that I really liked when I was younger called the “Guests of War,” by Kit Pearson. The first book was “The Sky is Falling,” and it was about British siblings sent to Canada during World War 2. I remember loving it. The main character Nora is spunky and it follows her growth a lot like Anne’s. The…
If I were a working musician, there would be a 100% chance I’d be high. In fact, if I weren’t looking for work, I’d be high right now.
Good god. Hurry up! We may need them soon enough!
My mother in law has around that many in cases in her house. I barely notice now, but it was rather creepy when I went there the first time. It didn’t help that the power went out and I saw them by candlelight for awhile.
Oh yeah, I totally agree— sorry, didn’t mean to make it sound like I was disagreeing with you or that I missed your point. We both agree that Abbott deserves a punch to the groin. Figuratively.
Abbott is a disgusting blight on Texas. I love my city but I wish we were in a blue state or not gerrymandered as fuck.
Very, very true
And 84 Lumber?!? Now I need to build something. I took my boyfriend to Ikea a few weeks ago, and he kept saying “I could make that.” uh, what? I might hold him to that now.
Science nerds fueled by sugar, caffeine and/or alcohol sounds like a powerfully successful combination to me!
Two years ago I had a sinus infection that I swear went on for 6 goddam weeks, just going into remission now and then, then coming back in full force. It was miserable. I recommend:
She will immediately have a lung transplant after the event. And a hip replacement if things go south. Fear not.
Was there an article about the Yemeni bodega strike in NYC? Considering how narrow their profits are, shutting down for 8 hours is a big deal for them. Bodegas, taxi cabs, airports- where will it be next?
Or they’re self-medicating because there aren’t adequate mental health services and it’s stigmatized, anyway.
