First and foremost, good for Robin Arryn for going full Neville Longbottom.

The biggest antagonist through the series was the Iron Throne, and it got the best death.

Wasn’t Jon’s punishment to join the Nightswatch again? Instead he ran off with the Wildings. (And his one true love, Tormund).  Also - how the fuck was the wall back? Did it regrow?

That was a lovely finale. It felt a lot like a first season episode–a lot of discourse on rule and power with a bit of humor. Very happy they chose this route instead of another battle episode, although I already see people complaining it was ‘anticlimactic’. (I’m sure if it ended in another major war the same people

I don’t think Drogon “went nuts”.  He melted the Iron Throne intentionally, knowing that it was Daenerys’ desire for it that ultimately killed her.

Winner of “Best Game” Award has to go to Bronn. This is a man that started out as nothing but a commoner. He was a sell sword. A nobody. When the game is over, he’s sitting on HighGarden, one of the best castles in all of Westeros, and is Master of Coin on the King’s Council. And all of that without having to fight

I’m an only child so I don’t know, but may I assume that it is accurate that even when you’re being made king you can count on your big sister to tell everyone in the room how your balls don’t work?

As said before and now for the last time:

“Say another word about killing my brother and I’ll cut your throat.”

(Needle scratch) and that, kids, is how I invented representative democracy.

Funny enough, in broad strokes that was exactly the kind of ending I would’ve envisioned. Only difference being, I wouldn’t have ultimately contorted Dany into the power mad madwoman to prove the point about power corrupting, relying apparently—if the defenders are the be believed—primarily on a “vision” from 6

The only way that could have been better is if they’d listened to Sam and instituted a representative government. Perfect ending.

Can I say something being the second oldest dude here? Game of Thrones premiered April 17, 2011. A sane man occupied the White House, the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell signed, Saddam Hussein dead, Occupy Wall Street, The HARRY POTTER movies ended, and Gabriel Giffords survived a senseless attack. The excitement

I think it was a good idea that was poorly executed.

If good writing accompanied that I wouldnt mind.

That Dany was in danger of crossing a line has been in the books and show for a very long time. There have been cracks in her empathy and humanity throughout going all the way back to her reaction to Viserys’s death. She’s gone for mass murder more than once and usually in horrific ways — Qarth, Vaes Dothrak, various

The horror of the episode was extremely well-executed, and I think that the madness of Dany has been earned, but I don’t get how all the northmen and Dothraki suddenly turn into women and children killers. Makes no sense at all. Cleganebowl also seemed forced. I do love using Arya as the audience surrogate once again.

She outright says when Jon doesn’t fuck her that she can only rely on fear to rule.

Imagine all those lives hanging on one man’s refusal to fuck his aunt?

I definitely disagree. All of her assumptions proved wrong, and her entire world finally fell apart around her. Everyone she counted on has died except her twin brother, who showed up with a presumably mortal wound. Seems perfectly reasonable that she’d fall apart at that moment.

Plus, assuming she was really pregnant.

Yep.  Plenty of light from those burning peasants.
