For someone who is “sorry (you) even started” the conversation, you sure do seem to be committed to telling everyone advocating for correct and sensitive phrasing why they’re wrong.
Please provide the statute that gives a 13 year old legal protection from her parents cutting her hair.
Nope. Best practices for suicide reporting recommend not using “committed,” which sounds like a crime or, to religious communities, like a sin, and “kill yourself” is just insensitive, crude, and poorly phrased. “Died by suicide” is the phrasing recommended by mental health professionals and the American Foundation…
Oh my god. For anyone that thinks that hair cutting is not cruel, my mom force cut my hair when I was 10 and it wasn’t until I was in my 30s and had therapy that I could handle having it cut again.

"You are using 168 chemicals on your body daily!"
Chemicals and toxins, oh my!
I was just about to post that. Also to link to our sister site Gawker on “toxins” because I roll my eyes when I hear either of them. http://gawker.com/the-food-babe-…
What constitutes a “chemical”? I just looked at the ingredient list on my lotion and there’s 17 things listed. Is C15-19 Alkane one chemical or multiple? Is water a chemical? Is this real life?
I have had grown adults throw tantrums because we wouldn't take photos of them serving the homeless people, nor would we let them photograph the clients. We have a designated group of our regular volunteers who would walk through the meal line up for photographs - and even them, only their hands were photographed.…
I do the licking the back of the spoon with yogurt too, there is nothing else that I eat that slowly.
I do this too, except with many, many, many miniscule bites.
Get yourself some cultural relevancy then never comment on the internet again.
Grey Gardens is amazing! and the Drew Barrymore biopic about Little Edie was really good, too.
