But her bathing suit is just terrible.
But her bathing suit is just terrible.
Basic Training in the army is like that too. Weekends are Hair Braiding Day and even the white girls get cornrows.
When I was locked up, I didn't mind the clothes as much as I minded the shoes. They only came in one size...size 9. I am a size 4, so I was in constant fear of tripping over them. Those damn shoes scared me WAY more than any of the other inmates!
I would love to hear more about your reactions to the show! The late great Bert Burykill wrote a piece for Vice when it first came out, but it really seems that this show has gotten more on point than other prison shows / movies (judging from what friends have said and I have read) so I'm interested to hera more…
well, they did point out the makeup was contraband. Red was smuggling it in via mafia, amd the girls were paying for it with commisary. Plus, being tv, they do glam it up a bit. I don't know if you were in a minimum security place - but yeah. The guards looked the other way, as it kept the girls more complacent, and…
Well you repeatedly say things like "Servers would never stand for this no tip thing" or "Only untipped fast food workers would like it," and then when people respond with, "well not quite," you say, "well I'm only talking about this one pub I worked in." So which is it? Are you speaking for all servers, or just…
The example I was using is a hip counter service place, the kind with $9 sandwiches and $5 pints. Literally carrying plates 10 feet. FOH making at least 2.5x what the BOH is. Don't bring the order out if it's wrong, the server should actually be familiar with the menu and do quality control if they care about their…
Guess it depends what state you live in. Here in Oregon, servers get the same base wage as cooks. At any given hip & trendy restaurant here the bartenders and some servers are clearing six figures, while the cooks are making $10-11/hour. Shit, I know servers who make $60k+ at chain restaurants in strip malls. I'm…
Most places are not Daniel or The French Laundry.
Based on the tip income servers report on their taxes, I assume. No incentive not to report income there.
— and screw them anyway, since almost every terrible tipper is going to tip horribly no matter how good or bad the service was.
That's great for the employees at that restaurant, but their situation is not the norm. The BLS estimates that the real mean wage for servers nationally is only $9.87. Do some server make significantly more than that? Sure. But a lot of them make significantly less an hour than even $9.87.
Ummmm....the point is that the majority of white people only hang out with other white people, but they don't even consider that as something noteworthy.
Nope, not a dialect. It's just being ignorant.
"try and use..."?
"Like many here, I am starting to complain about how this site is falling of the Journalistic Wagon into the dumbing down that America is sinking comfortably into."
Thank you for your deep insights into journalism, guy who doesn't know what site he's on.
I can tell by the Way you Capitalize random Words that you are a serious thinker And have very valuable Opinions.

What if you're not an athlete? What if you're just a thirsty dude. Can you still have some Gatorade, or does that lightning bolt mean no?
