The poor quality of the complaint would lend at least some credibility to Rose’s lawyer’s claim that this is the third lawyer she’s had on this. If two others passed on it already or dumped her as a client, she’s not likely to find an actual good lawyer to take the case on what is undoubtedly fully on contingency. Not…

That’s true, but it’s also the case that the accused is often convicted in the media long before the case ever goes to trial. Think of the UVA or Duke lacrosse cases. Heavily publicized false allegations can have very unpleasant consequences for the accused.
