I don’t know, I thought the use of the “twin thing” throughout the episode came to a devastating head when Luke realizes he’s not feeling phantom withdrawal, but is actually feeling his sister’s death. That genuinely, actually moved me. Those poor twins. I love them.

You don’t have to like the show but definitely don’t tell me what to do or think? Like, what purpose did this comment have?

I’m not dismissing your overall take but I do think it is worth it to put local context here, because DC tends to exist as a place that is understood as the seat of government and little else.

Were you ever a Stephen King fan?

All of their tattoos are genuinely terrible.

Who, having already been walked in on as they tidy up after a double murder, would leave their front door unlocked while they’re out dumping the bodies? No one, that’s who.

While yes, I get that’s the nature of a twist, there were very few, if any, warning signs, and the scope of Amma’s murderous streak was wide enough to warrant more explanation than conjecture.

What a scary and wonderful episode, what a brutally, brutally sad ending. It did what I think so many King adaptations have missed, which is elevate the emotion that makes horror so potent. Not just Ruth watching her dead love’s blood off her, but of putting on a pretty dress, doing her makeup, her hair, getting ready

What does he need that car for? Oh, who knows? Why does he change into, then out of, Matthew Deaver’s funeral suit? Oh, who knows? Why does a crow fall at his feet as he arrives at Juniper Hill? Oh, who knows? Why does he let Henry sign him into Juniper Hill if he’s going to break out before nightfall? Oh, who knows?

They both did.

Good. So am I. As we should be.

Counterpoint: I saw Radiohead recently and Jonny Greenwood was on stage in a shirt that just said FRUITS with no other context and he remains one of the awesomest people ever so, like, wear whatever the fuck you want?

That’s completely different from trying to “save” them, though. She’s not trying to ‘save’ the dead girls at all. And she’s only kind of marginally trying to figure out who killed them — it’s clear she’s curious about the investigation and her instinctive desire is to report the story as a crime story not a “tales of

i hate that kid so fucking much

How would she be trying to save the dead girls? She didn’t know them, she didn’t even know one of them was dead for a full year before her editor tipped her off to the story.

Yes, 13. And yes, you are supposed to be deeply unnerved by her behavior. That’s the point.

Historically speaking, relatively small towns got big malls in the 1980s in the name of economic development and drawing more business to the area. Hawkins looks fairly rural but it’s implied it’s pretty close to Indianapolis - Jonathan drives there to search his dad’s house and car trunk for Will when he first goes

Next time maybe Google before commenting.

They are hands down without a doubt the single greatest and best touring act in existence right now.
