I appreciate you using this opportunity to embed X-Ray Spex, tho. Good excuse.

You haven’t listened to a Radiohead record in a while, have you?

I’ve been a huge fan for 20+ years now and I’ve literally never heard them described as “hit or miss” live in any sense. I’ve even read live reviews from people who don’t particularly like them that gush over their ability to play live.

I’ve heard they’re VERRRRY hit or miss live though

I didn’t read about Speck, but Fincher said in a couple interviews that some of Kemper’s scenes are taken verbatim from the tapes.

oh my god oh my god oh my god i just want to put this gif behind my sunglasses and watch it forever.

The PLEASE GIVE ME A TOILET twist at the end is truly incredible.

Please tell me they are still in prison.

Right? I thought it was firmly tongue in cheek. And it succeeded in making me giggle.

I’ve read in a few places that many of the Kemper interview scenes are taken verbatim from Douglas and Ressler’s tapes. One of the fascinating things about this series, I think, is that it’s about a real study done by real people recorded on real tapes that still exist. You can find Kemper’s real interviews on

Agreed. Truly a brilliant casting choice. The series is all-around excellently cast. It makes all the difference in a show this cerebral and internal.

For real though. “Psycho Killer” cracked me up. Lighten up, reviewer.

I’ve now watched the first season of this show twice. I don’t know that I could disagree with some of this more. This is masterfully done, shockingly faithful to the real account this series is based on, and was a deeeeeeeeply unsettling episode in the best of ways. But here’s where I’m really gonna fight you:

I can see the spectrum here — on the one hand, it’s early to ID this guy for readers, on the other hand as soon as I saw that ADT logo I was like “OH HELL YEAH IT’S BTK.” The look of the actor was pretty obviously Dennis Rader too.

I was driving to McDonald’s (classy!) on New Year’s Day probably about 10 years ago or so with a friend. The streets were well empty, and we were on a pretty large road (4 lanes across) that went past a mall, so there was a third lane on the far right that’s the pull-in turn lane for the mall. Parked in that lane (and

oh fuck oh fuck i’m glad you’re alive

All Killa No Filla is my go-to Saturday morning post-yoga-coffee-and-video-games listening. I’ll just go back to old episodes and listen to them make fun of serial killers. It’s amazing.

Dirty John is about a con man and the family he attempts to destroyed. Great Walking Dead-related twist at the end (really). Six episodes, they’re all available, I really thoroughly enjoyed it.

Try All Killa No Filla. I don’t know if it’s the accents (probably) or that the comedians are funnier (probably), but it really clicked with me. I love it. Also they tell the weirdest personal stories. I mean that as a huge compliment.

CASEFILE IS MY FAVORITE. SO GOOD.
