I’m getting the impression you don’t particularly like pushback, especially when your stereotyping blanket statement is simplistic at best and downright wrong at worst.

“Just wait your turn, girls. Once we make the white men rich and happy again, this’ll all be solved.”
One day at a time :)
I mean, I don’t use alcohol to kill pain as much as I do to relax. But given the option, I’d much rather smoke.
That’s cool, none of us want to be near judgmental jerks either. Win-win.
Still in my world. Still in all my friend’s worlds. I’d rather smoke a j than drink a bottle of wine.
Give New Hampshire some credit, you’re also known as Where We Can Get Booze On Sundays to everyone in Massachusetts.
“Shippers” are people who root for two characters in a TV show to get together/be in a relationship. It’s neither weird, nor new.
Oh girl, the term “ship” and “shipping” originally comes from the X-Files fandom in the earliest days of the internet. It’s at least 20 years old. (p.s. MSR foreverrrrrrrrrr)
Since I was replying at work, I realize now I missed a prime opportunity to reply with, “I’ll be waiting, with a gun and a pack of sandwiches.” D’oh!
I would understand that schedule for Radiohead, but no one else but Radiohead. I have, on several occasions, considered getting tickets to some of the European festivals that are not sold out so I can spend the entire day at the front of the stage and see my babies. I can’t afford that either.
Oh yes, I see them any chance I get. I bought a Lollapalooza ticket last year just for them. I’ve driven from Boston to New York and back, twice, within 48 hours, to see them. I’ve lied my way backstage and met them. I’ve been devotedly following them around as best I can for 13 years now.
Well, as someone who doesn’t actually have enough money to follow Radiohead around the country as I would very much like to, this is wonderful.
Here’s the thing though: If those circles organize politically, that’s HUGE.
Pew disagrees with you: http://www.pewforum.org/religious-landscape-study/state/kentucky/
Benefits like what? Supporting the anti-vaccine movement and dinner parties with Putin? Having no actual understanding of governance whatsoever? Please.
Preach it from the fucking rafters for the rest of time.
“We don’t know how much of a factor race plays in the sudden reversal of public opinion...”
For real. I mean, this site is very NYC-centric and I have the impression Kara lives in LA (did I make that up? Does she just go to California a lot? Kara, I’m sorry if I’m wrong), but Durbin’s not a nobody. He’s a big time, long-time senator, and much beloved in IL/Chicago BECAUSE he gets shit done and he…
Oh god, THANK YOU. People are so incredulous that a person like me — politically engaged, civically engaged, DC native — never liked the West Wing. It’s bullshit fake politics porn that I have always thought cheapened actual politics to the point that, well, Donald Trump is president.
