Exactly. I don’t understand all of the praise that the exterior design received when it was first released. To my eyes, it looks like a butched-up Scion TC.
Part of the problem is land rights. It’s much easier to obtain some places for pylons than a stripe of land going through multiple properties.

I imagine a small hatchback like the Aveo has a comparatively small carbon footprint - especially compared to a MBT or APC... So I guess the NYT could be wrong about her car, while still having the quote be correct.
No, she has no other options, her country is getting fucking invaded.
Well, Wikipedia describes her party as “economically liberal, conservative and pro-European”. BTW her husband died 8 years ago fighting russian troops when they invaded the last time. So he might have seen a need to join a admittedly dubious group.
This. Why this guy thinks he needs a go fund me is beyond me. I also don’t buy that he put a new engine in a, what, 6 or 7 year old Subaru? The Tesla was almost certainly well-insured, being a rental, so I have no clue why this guy needs cash from strangers to fix something that should be covered by insurance. …
I don’t understand this. If that had been my car, my socially inept self would not be able to setup a go-fund-me account and get actual money out of it.
From Wikipedia:
Your repeated use of the word “tax” to describe something that not only isn’t a tax but isn’t even tangentially related to any government is, at best, shoddy journalism. At worst, it’s unethical shilling for the oil industry. Had you bothered to read your primary source, you would know that Borenstein is describing a…
Dude, you’re doing yeoman’s work for the oil companies here by calling it a tax, when it isn’t.
If this fee wasn’t instituted by a local or state government, it’s not a tax. It’s just oil companies sneakily hosing everyone but they call it a “fee” so they can say the base price hasn’t changed.
Full size spares on trucks are normal tires with normal speed ratings, not space savers with low limits.

I don’t see what the RSX’s existence proves. Of all the letters Acura could have chosen for their compact/entry-level model they went with “I.” There’s not way it’s a coincidence.
Unexpected casualty of this Ukraine conflict:
The NHTSA wrote a rule based on language in the just passed Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill.
A Telsa Model S weighs about as much as an F150 or an E-class, a Model 3 weighs about as much as your average CUV. So they’re really not heavier. Yes, they don’t use gas but using gasoline taxes an essential source of infrastructure funding is what lead the US to the mess it is in.
Convincing the public to adopt new tech is notoriously difficult, especially if it doesn’t offer anything particularly “new” they didn’t already have. Take just one recent example, DVDs for instance - they spent millions on PR campaigns AND gave’em away like crazy to get people to buy into the tech, and that’s just…
