GM did not put in $2 billion. They were granted $2 Billion in Nikola stock (11% of the company) for agreeing to design and build Nikola a version of the GM electric truck. I feel like if more non-car people knew the Bolt existed, it might’ve done a little better, but GM’s marketing is horrendous. It’s a good car for what it is.
