Erik,

Posting inaccurate information from somewhere else without doing some basic checking up to verify it’s accuracy is very much misinformation.

I wouldn’t call 24,000 units sold in 2003 (66K total during the first gen model run) a “hit”. Hybrids were still seen very much as an oddity, and the pudgy Echo styling probably didn’t help. The 2nd gen launched to double the sales in 2004 (and earned a bunch of industry awards along the way), then doubled again the

The Prius didn’t blow up until it’s second gen, which had fairly distinct looks for the time.

Hitting a kerb (not talking about kerb rash caused be parking) puts massive loads on the suspension - even if it doesn’t look bad from the outside, this kind of result is pretty common.

I can see pretty clearly a dent in the lower bumper right in front of the wheel. My professional opinion (I’m an insurance adjuster/arbitrator) is that the guy hit a curb or some other fixed object hard enough to damage the suspension. It looks like the lower control arm broke off from the steering knuckle during a

power understeer in the dry or in the wet into a curb and it’s pretty common to see a suspension collapse and a wheel cave in.

need more pics, need to see the face of the wheel, kinda looks like wheel has scrub from a curb - curb contact can definitely pop a ball joint.

And yet with those deep pockets it couldn’t get the launch right.

You seem to think covid is permanent which is funny. Q3 will be a record quarter in terms of sales and Q4 will be even larger. As Tesla grows, of course they will need more factories.

Unless they legalize direct sales in Texas, not far enough!

Yeah, I don’t get the people whining about the emissions credits: It’s a real source of revenue. When planning their spending, Tesla would know the emissions credits revenue was coming.

Cue all the usual suspects chanting:Fake numbers!” & “Accounting fraud!”.

As an actual pilot. I think it’s a correct use.

AUTO PILOT MAINTAINS SPEED AND BEARING. For fuck’s sake.

There were performance goals set that most people didn’t believe was possible and he reached them. All the naysayers seem to not accept his accomplishment.

Cramming a bunch of batteries into a traditional car is never going to be as good as a ground up electrical design. But BMW can’t commit, so they’ll keep half-assing it while Tesla / Ford / VW leave them behind.

So long story short, you did nothing to help with the panademic? No, worse, you feel the self entitled urge to attack someone for simply offering to help and actually helping people.

You are jumping to conclusions, he never said anything of the sort. All he said is he is donating FDA approved ventilators which they were. The FDA approved those for use. No one said anything about them not needing some modifications. And the doctors knew how to do those modifications which is why the ordered them.
