You’re the one arguing that Musk is number one at every corner.

Uhh, no, orbit is a pretty fucking clear milestone for a rocket to make. If your rocket can launch into orbit, it’s useful to the space industry. If it can’t, then it isn’t. It’s not a “Muskism.” Literally no one gives a shit about reusable non-orbital rockets.

Right - because Guy has never delivered on anything he’s promised. He may be ambitious (to be generous) with his goals, but he succeeds on a lot of his goals.

Why not properly fund both the police and social services?

There is no “conversation”. At this point it feels like a witch hunt.

I really want someone to explain to my why a police vehicle should be held responsible for running over someone. They’re not even autonomous.

Unfortunately, the idea didn’t always work. I give you the 1986 Pontiac Sunfire GT:

You mean like they turned a profit during Q1 2020? And Q4 of 2019? And Q3 of 2019... They almost did so in Q2 and had COVID not happened almost certainly would.

It took an hour for that UPS to turn into an “inferno”..

I think the incentives are a way to counter the market lock in already in place for ICE vehicles. That is, breaking the cycle of people buy ICE cars because infrastructure is centered on them/infrastructure is centered on them because people always bought ICE cars.

Initial quality looks for problems you identify very early in ownership (90 days). Dodge owners are not arriving at the dealer with a checklist of things to review. If you buy a Tesla, it’s very likely that you’ll have one of the plethora of checklists to review every tiny detail of the vehicle inside and out before

Is there a picture of the noose anywhere? Sounds to me it wasn’t really a noose but instead just a loop in the rope for easier gripping.  But I can only go by what little I’ve read about it.

That’s not what Tesla is being investigated for.

As mentioned, autopilot term never meant full autonomy. Autopilot in aircrafts has always been effectively a bit above cruise control.

For most of the history of autopilots in aircraft the autopilot generally maintained altitude, heading, and kept the wings level. It didn’t do the takeoff, land the airplane, nor did it prevent midair collisions. But laymen assign whatever level of autonomy they think it should have to Tesla’s autopilot.

They’re not asking for the school’s money. They’re asking to not pay school taxes on the property for 10 years. It’s a fairly common ask when building for business purposes, based on the fact that the business will employ a couple thousand people, most of whom will be paying those school taxes.

I’ll recognize that I likely value individual freedoms/a laissez faire mentality more than most.

Did you completely miss the part where Ford is doing it the Cadillac way and not the Tesla way, and how there is a vast difference in the safety of the Cadillac vs Tesla system??? Shit take.

Yes but...one of the things being said about the Model Y is that since it’s based on the 3, production issues should have been ironed out already and this launch should have been easy peasy.

Surprise to who? Musk literally told us it would happen like 2 months ago.
