This is an Overwatch thread. I’m interested in Overwatch.

I fully agree with what you are saying, but to me what was more fun was Overwatch. There are parts of Battleborn I did like but overall it wasn't as good as either Overwatch or Paragon to me.

That’s not bias though. That’s limited availability of coverage. They want depth, not breadth, so they have their staff focus on specific games.

Bias would be if they said “Battleborn is made by XYZ group, so we’re not going to cover it” or “I don’t like one of the devs on Battleborn, sor we’re not going to cover it”.

Who cares about Battleborn? It was dead in the water. It’s a very bland game.

Wait, Battleborn characters normally cost extra? Isn’t that a $60 game? Yeesh, glad I decided it wasn’t for me after the beta.

Nobody cares.

Also, I should add that I have dozens of hours in TF2 and have absolutely zero fun playing LoL or DOTA2 the times I’ve tried them.

Haha, I actually relieved to hear this. I was thinking of checking out HotS after I got my free Tracer for it, as well. I checked some youtube footage and I was really amazed how well they translated her to a MOBA. I am eager to check it out once I get my key (or however that is going to work on PS4).

It doesn’t hide playable content behind paywalls or levelling systems
All the characters are unique and fun to experience, lots of variety
High focus on proper teamwork to succeed

It’s what I’ve been wanting from a shooter for ages.

The reason they canceled Titan is because although it was a really cool idea on paper, they admitted that they couldn’t really “find the fun” in the RPG elements of the game. Overwatch is what arose from the ashes, taking the combat part and using it as a fantastic foundation.

Damn, that’s a lot of salt and bias there. We get it, you love Battleborn. Go back to it and stop jumping on everyone because your game has been overlooked.

It goes without saying, but my two cents:

There’s no reason not to pre-order it. It’s not like the benefits are game changing or douchebaggy.

I got roped into pre-ordering the Origins Edition partially because of the early Tracer release. I’m genuinely surprised at how well they made her translate from FPS to MOBA though, haha.

I feel like the one thing you can’t question about Blizzard is how long will they support a game. Diablo 3 released 4 years ago, it’s expansion 2 years ago, and it’s still getting major updates. They treat all their games like this.

They even recently patched Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3.

I’ve never played world of Warcraft, never played any Diablo. I’m not a blizzard fanboy. This game is great though. I really don’t understand how people feel like it has no depth and that it is only mediocre. I guess we all have opinions and that’s what makes us special.

I did too. The beta was really solid and the game pretty much completed at this point, so it’s not like you pre-ordered w/o knowing what you’ll get.

Even though people say we shouldn’t I pre-ordered overwatch.

The main reason I’ve been playing Heroes of the Storm again is just so I can play Tracer. Monday can’t come soon enough!
