Chatting up (not very busy) bartenders, waitstaff, etc. has always led me to the best food and events while on vacation. I even got a coupon for a free Uber Black ride once!

When we are able to get the time off for a week/10 day long vacation, we often like to spend the first weekend camping. It's cheaper than a hotel obviously, but it also breaks up the vacation, even if you camp in the same general place as your hotel stay.

This is one of the simplest ways to get discounts. Calling your hotel ahead of your trip with an upbeat, polite tone can often get your room upgraded or free nights tacked on to longer stays.

That's extremely pompous. Equating leagues to expectations is fine. But you cannot know what her expectations are until she shares them. Just because she is one thing doesn't mean she wants that exact same thing. This thinking is not only naïve but soooo presumptuous.

I live in a city where the public transport is a ridiculous joke. Rather, nearly all of us drive cars. Public street parking etiquette has apparently crumbled and disappeared almost entirely. I'd love to see an article addressing that whole debacle. Illustrations would probably be necessary though.
