I currently have a win8 pc in my living room that acts as a media center/server and runs steam in big picture mode and I love it. If, like other favors of Linux, I can run plex and xbmc on it then I would probably ditch windows.

Really? I bought the game last night on my jailbroken 3rd gen iPad. I played it for a little while before bed and was able to fire weapons with no problem.

I use both. I built myself an htpc/gaming rig combo that lives in my entertainment center in the living room. It runs Win8 and I have an MX-450 urc to control it and tiles for xbmc, Netflix, and steam. I run Plex media server in the background to serve to my Apple TV in the bedroom but I prefer XBMC on the front end…

Hell, for $120 you can get a Master Replicas lightsaber with a metal handle, poycarbonate blade, sequentially lighting LEDs, accelerometer controlled sound effects, and an off switch. Guess that explains why I own four lightsaber props and zero hoverboard props.
