Barry, what’s your favorite China Mieville book?

You could make the case that they have the best park in the sport, the most interesting and engaging star in the sport (Jones), and the second best player in the AL (Machado). And they hit more home runs than anyone. In theory, that park should be packed.

Damn near every new network TV comedy this fall looks awful, but I’m really excited about this. I’ll watch Kristen Bell and Ted Danson in pretty much anything, and putting them together is brilliant. I’d argue most of the stuff Bell has starred in falls somewhere between mediocre and bad, but she’s always great in it

The starting five on that ‘91 Lakers squad was Magic Johnson, A.C. Green, Sam Perkins, Vlade Divac, and Terry Teagle. If you think that squad was better than this Warriors squad, you’re either the type of person who thinks everything was better when you were a kid, or you really, really hate LeBron.

Random, but how the fuck is Audra McDonald 45? I mean... look at her. That woman looks 35 at the most. At the MOST.

This is really good. +1

Mark Fuhrman is an abhorrent human being who, in a just world, would have gone to prison. He also might be the only person featured in this documentary who hates black people more than O.J. Simpson does.

If it’s okay to call LeBron a bitch because he flops, is it not okay for Draymond to call him a bitch because he also flops AND he habitually hunts other guy’s dicks with his feet and fists? That whole step over/dick punch situation started because Draymond flopped while trying to draw a foul call.

At one point Sharapova was taking 30 different medications and supplements... and yet she STILL couldn’t beat Serena.

+1 Jim Starlin

People he hired for Grantland, like Zach Lowe and Barnwell, still work for ESPN. So he basically just said he doesn’t respect them. Also, if they hadn’t fired him he’d still be working there, so I guess he doesn’t respect himself much either?

It’s weird that James Corden has this one brilliant idea that’s consistently great, because outside of Carpool Karaoke his show is awful. He’s clearly a very nice man, but his show is so bad it makes me uncomfortable.

Calling him Cassius Clay is a way of calling him a n****r without actually saying it. The people who do that know exactly what they’re doing.

Schaap’s story about his dad, Tom Seaver and Ali going out to dinner in 1969 was so great. That alone made me glad I stayed up to watch.

I stayed up late to watch this, and at one point I found myself thinking “Wow. I forgot that SportsCenter can actually be good”. Then Stephen A. came on...

“It’s just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up.”

This idiotic Wilbon article is what I would have expected if Whitlock was running that site. I’m normally a pretty calm person, but I was so irrationally mad about this yesterday that if I saw Wilbon on the street I would have screamed at him. He basically wrote an article that says “black people are very emotional

Who would you rather have: pre-injury Derrick Rose or current Russell Westbrook?

If Ichiro was able to enter the majors when he was 22, he’d have over 4,000 hits, and he’d probably be the all time hit leader. Whenever I think about that, I get mad that we were all robbed of the chance to see it.
