For nearly 15 minutes of Trading Places, Dan Akroyd is wearing blackface. It’s a great movie on a number of levels, but man is it hard to watch in 2015.

Words like “perfect” and “brilliant” are completely overused these days, so I say this sincerely: the use of that Tubman quote in this situation was both brilliant and perfect.

Outside of Cheers, Golden Girls is the best comedy of the ‘80s. And if you wanted to say it was better than Cheers, I wouldn’t call you crazy. I’d disagree, but you can make the argument.
