There’s a joke in here somewhere about Sonic Team needing a bake sale to stay in business.

I don’t see what’s so depressing about it. To me, it just looks like a more charming version of Alexa.
Exactly. Way too many developers underestimate the importance of either downscaling early or pulling the plug altogether. Scope creep has murdered many a great project.
WarioWare prides itself on two things:
“Give the Internet a canvas, and it won’t be long before you find sex jokes on it.”
I know the feeling. I can’t for the life of me figure out how you’re supposed to beat the final boss!
It’s a tough call for me because the demo had me sold on almost everything the game had to offer. Now, people are talking about how little the characters interact with each other, and I can’t decide if that’s a dealbreaker or not. :/
Right? I mean, no shit the game’s going to get grindy if you’re going for 100% completion.
Persona 5 would like a word with you. I played that game through to the end for well over 90 hours, and never once had to go out of my way to level characters sufficiently enough to beat a boss. You know why? Because in the era of modern JRPGs, Persona 5 was smart enough to learn from its peers and adapt its gameplay…
Or, as is often the case in Life in Aggro, knowledge of the authors themselves. Web comics are not exactly meant to be consumed individually.
Given the wide variety of awkward circumstances that made the mere existence of money necessary in the first place...yeah, it kinda is. But humanity has coped with far worse.
Right. It’s a classic case of “correlation ≠ causation”. The fact that guns play a role in many violent crimes does not make them the root cause. That’s like saying “having hands is the root cause of strangling”. Taking away the means doesn’t eliminate the murder; it just makes the murderer find different means. The…
I haven’t even finished the demo and it’s already sold me. I really like the idea of designing traditional JRPGs for a modern audience! ...And this is coming from someone who greatly prefers modern JRPGs except in a few rare cases. I’m happy Square Enix has room in their lineup for both games like this AND something…
Oddly enough, I’ve heard of far weirder premises for a JRPG.
While I do agree that dating and/or sex should by no means be expected as an obligatory exchange for bare minimum acceptable social behavior, “niceness” is FAR from the default state of human beings. Selfishness is our default state; being biologically programmed into us since birth from our innately selfish want to…
I swear Overwatch is more “anime” than most anime games.
Agreed. Overcrunching is a rookie mistake.
I mean, if you’re okay with doing the bare minimum and not living up to your potential, sure.
...as long as the person doing the silencing is being altruistic about it and not abusing their power to start witch hunts and shut up anyone they don’t agree with. In that case, it’s censoring.
And now to race the scalpers. Gentlemen, ON YOUR MARKS!
