“Stealing what you’re owed and destroying everything else”

I have a similar opinion on Earthbound. It was a great game and played a major role in reforming the design of JRPGs as we know them (even to this day!), but it’s been outclassed. It’s a shame too, because Mother 3 does a FANTASTIC job of showing how good an Earthbound game can be with modern design sensibilities, yet…

I’m honestly only offended by this trope when it’s used to give the character pointless extra motivation.

In my opinion, the big thing holding them back is the fact that Mario was just not intended for film. Like, for a franchise that has almost never focused on narrative, what would the plot even be? They’d have to dig into the most obscure recesses of the lore just to find halfway-interesting characters.

With an anatomy as awkward as Goofy’s, I’m not exactly sure what people were expecting. The fact that his original design was somehow made appealing is a miracle in itself.

Kingdom Hearts is like the junk food of JRPGs. Not the best for you, but extremely tasty regardless.

Don’t be afraid; just ignore him. The worst thing you can do to a person like this is give them attention because it justifies their actions.

She looks like she wants to get in and get out without anyone noticing. Seriously, the only thing missing the overly-suspicious trench coat. Her posture and expression make it look like she’s disgusted to be there.

...And here I thought practical effects were dead.

Yeah, but it still has the Pokemon brand attached to it. I would think Nintendo would be at least A LITTLE concerned with quality; especially given their opinion on earlier box office nightmares that need not be named.

Sigh...When a system update is required every other time I turn the damn thing on, you’d think this wouldn’t be an issue.

Right? I can only hope I look that good in makeup when I eventually cosplay Aqua!

Nice to see Sony embracing their mascots again. Gives them another identity outside of “home of obscure Japanese games”.

I sorta figured this was the kind of thing stockholders would go nuts over. I hope Labo sells well cuz it’s a brilliant (and cost-effective) idea that would easily allow Nintendo to fund more big projects.

Good to see the competitive scene is as mature and respectful as ever. -_-
