53 lives is still 53 too many, I especifically can’t figure why are you complaining about something that literally can do no harm.
Maybe instead of defending with teeth and nails your pointless rant, take a breath, reflect about it and chill out my man/woman.
A sensor that reminds you of someone in the backseat when you…
You can tell that to the 53 families that lost their child. I’m sure they’ll be happy to hear that they ‘only’ represent the ignorance of a few dozen people.
I’ve never seen someone get so pointlessly angry about something that asks nothing of them.
Yeah, screw those 53 dead kids and the average of 38 who have died each year since 1998! Who cares if they might have been saved by tech like this!
Maybe technology that could save 53 babies is a good thing?
Well that’s actually a brilliant idea, if it is dedicated only to the manual it wouldn't be overly expensive either I imagine. But it wouldn't last long would it? Maybe with batteries and care it could.
When genesis first debuted you got a tablet in place of the owners manual. It also worked a in a virtual aspect as you could point it at what ever feature on the car you wanted to learn about and that info would appear
The manual to my Golf R was like 300 pages long and I didn’t get 20 pages into it. I’m sure I’m missing something but I just don’t care enough to find out what it is.
Yeah. In hindsight, GM North America didn’t deserve to get it at all.
I wonder if it was an early 1964 model where they were using some parts from 1963 as they made a gradual shift. Like there’s some sort of forgotten 1963.5 model in there where they were testing out turn signals and the license plate light wasn’t ready yet.
Some people prefer manual transmission, can we just leave it at that?
While it's been many years since I drove an automatic offroad, I have not previously encountered one that can hold gears in 4-low properly without me telling it what to do with the shifter. If I already have to shift the stupid thing, why wouldn't I want the further advantage of a clutch?
For the same reason people offroad in the first place. To have fun driving. Not many people NEED offroading for daily commutes.
because some of us truly enjoy mastering a vehicle as opposed to letting the computer do everything for you. I can more precisely pick my gearing for the conditions (10 gears is a LOT to hunt through) and ford built a box specifically for this situation. and because i enjoy driving a manual in day to day situations…
As someone who has only ever off-roaded manual transmission and manual locking hubs equipped vehicles (‘67 Cj-5, ‘92 F-150, ‘94 Ranger) I don’t understand your comment at all. Why would having a manual transmission be any sort of problem?
Seriously, what are you talking about?
Turning it around, why would anyone want a…
It’s just in the fun of doing it. Not everything needs to be the easiest way
It’s more fun to some people, including me. Wheeling doesn’t need to be about optimization or ease-of-use. It’s an inherently illogical hobby, after all!
Jaguars have always had a whiff of drivers cars about them, even in the 70’s and 80’s.
Bought my first Jaguar at 27, an XF Portfolio with the 5.0 v8. I had wanted one and I found a stunning example that I couldn’t pass up. Drove that car for 60,000 mostly trouble free miles before she was sadly T-boned and totaled. Those that make fun of Jaguar reliability have never owned a modern one, it never failed…
