"but things can get complicated when a victim does comply up to a point" - You would never say this if the victim was a woman. Seriously, think hard about what you just said. "My boss made me sleep with him, and I did it" would not make a claim of sexual harassment any less valid. Being coerced into masturbating in

They were still doing this when I was in high school in the 90's. My date to senior prom knew enough to ask me what color my hair was so he could get a matching boutonniere. (It was blue.)

I think your mention of an eye for proportion is on target. I remember hearing an interview with Tom Ford where he said one of his earliest memories was looking down at his new shoes and seeing that he didn't quite like the toe shape, he wanted it to be a bit rounder. I'm the same way. I'm no designer by any means,

I wasn't talking about desires and behavior, I was talking about capabilities (I also never said there was "no difference," as is plainly clear from the quote you selected). You suggested that women inherently lack some quality that would make them good at male-dominated work, like mechanics, and I begged to differ.

You are coming from the perspective that the sexes are inherently more different than the same, and asking for proof that they are not. This is a poor way to form any hypothesis. The burden is on you to prove the differences, not on us to prove the similarities.

That's why it's cute. Their full names are both "Armand Hammer." It's intentional, and it's meant to sound like "Arm & Hammer."

You're making the assertion that women are fundamentally not as good at certain tasks as men. Please provide some proof.

When I read these books the only person I could picture as Finnick was Armie Hammer, so I'm fairly happy he's in the final running. That said, I had never seen/heard of Jesse Williams at that time, and in retrospect he would be the superior Finnick. Kind of a shame it's just a bunch of white guys.

Armie Hammer is actually named after his grandfather. I think it's cute.

No, you're wrong. I work in a female-dominated field (lab sciences) with a bunch of ladies who would be equally good as mechanics. Had someone turned to me in my formative years and said "you have the manual dexterity and problem solving skills to kick ass at fixing cars," I would be a mechanic. Instead, nobody said

Speaking as a 30-something, F-bombs fucking rock.

Good gravy, have these women never heard of doggie style?

While I'm with you in spirit, it can take a long fucking time to buy a pair of pants when you have to go to 12 stores. It can be sad to find a brand you reliably like and then have it yanked out from under you, leaving you to spend hours upon hours hunting for something that fits you, physically and stylistically.

Once you're pregnant they use the date of your last period to calculate how far along you are — nobody believes that to be the technical "beginning" of pregnancy, though. It's just a handy bookmark for where you are in your hormonal cycle.

I refused to see it, and continue to refuse to see it. I flew across an ocean a few months ago and it was one of the in-flight movie options, and I STILL refused to see it. Fuck that noise.

Mine is "like a scientist." A family friend, many moons ago, described me to her nephew as "like a scientist," and it stuck.

New commenting pile won't let me promote you, but maybe replying will do the job. Well said.

@smkm: Yes, there isn't anything there between "obsessive dork" and "clueless fashionista." Pfffffft.

@sva7: I've had the Mirena IUD for about 6 months now. I was on the pill for 12 years before that, so it was a fairly big adjustment. The first couple of months weren't great (I bled nearly every day, usually just spotting but sometimes more than that), but now things seem to have settled and I'm very happy. I've got
