@thwarted: There were scenes in that preview where she was supposed to be in agony, and all I could see was one tiny wrinkle in her brow. She was straining as hard as she could to make a facial expression, I could tell, but it just didn't show up. So unfortunate.

@Youthier: We're constructing a new space for our department right now and they're putting in a "mother's" room that looks pretty great. We generally have at least one nursing mother at any given time in the department, and the only option now is to do it in the bathroom. :/

@Libra18: Having kids does qualify for some special treatment. Mothers need time to pump and/or feed their infants, and employers need to accept that parents will occasionally have to leave early due to a sick child, etc, and should not fire someone because of it. As the childless person in my 3-person lab, I

@RedLantern: It's probably hard to hold together a relationship after losing a child like that. I'm happy for them that they could go on and be happy independently, and obviously now having their own child back is pretty much miraculous.

@SunburnedCounsel: Well, it's not totally together. Her parents divorced and married other people, but it sounds like everybody's happy and now she has a huge family to call her own, with siblings on both sides.

@gingersnap555: The NY police say the case is still open and they are pursuing it, but won't name any names because it is an open case. It sounds like they're going to do something and that the statute of limitations has not run out on it.

@Titania: I thought I would be ground down to a sad little piece of pulp by the end of it, but I actually really liked it and (and this is sort of why I hate myself sometimes) felt good that my marriage is so much better than that.

@nancydrew: That scene was while they were still dating.

@Good Cop Baby Cop: The future room would give me some serious claustrophobia, though.

You might want to try getting anything done with a regular breast pump before suggesting that a hands-free model has no use. It can take 30-45 to pump and it's not exactly a fun time. Being able to talk on the phone or read a book would make the time go by a lot faster. A friend of mine wants a Kindle just so she'll

Reading this made *me* cry, too. Surely she is not the first person unable to lift an arm for completely legitimate reasons. It sounds like she cooperated to the best of her ability and they treated her like she was sub-human. I'm so angry on her behalf, I can't even think straight.

@Adversar: Right, but it does appear to be tuned to the defense of the reproductive tract, which was my logic behind declaring it a defense mechanism. Preventing trauma associated with dry sex (whether forced or otherwise) is a defense mechanism.

@Dylanb13: They don't even put the 8oz cup on the menu anymore, most people don't know it's an option. Some Starbucks I've been to don't even have *tall* on the menu. Just Grande and Venti. Bleargh.

@grumpygirl: As a former Duckie, I say she blew it big time.

How many calories in a Trenta frappuccino? It's got to be over 1000, right?

This ob shortage lasted just enough time that I never ran out of my giant stockpile of tampons and didn't have to find an alternative. Glad they're back and I can stick with what I like, instead of trial-and-error with unknowns.

@BioLady: Ethicon has been around a long time, they make sutures and other medical devices. I have a corporate catalog for Ethicon catgut circa 1965, illustrated entirely with pictures of kittens.

@yatnil: I like ob because I find they fit much better than other tampon brands, both because of their particular shape and expansion profile, and also because they are positioned by me, not by an applicator. Also, I've never had any luck with cup systems, something about my anatomy is not compatible with cups.

@dclady: Yeah, thank heavens for the internet!
