The thing I like about LAMB, and respect about Gwen Stefani, is that I can see her wearing every last stitch of clothing she designs. She's not putting out stuff she thinks other people will like, she's designing for herself. Even if I don't love the styles or the cultural appropriation, I at least respect that it's

@Friday: I'm pretty sure that in some parts of the world "possession of a vagina" is, in fact, the only "consent" a woman needs to provide.

@ps61318: Thanks, that's sweet. It seemed worthwhile to spend whatever was necessary to get rings we were really, really happy with, considering we expect to wear them for the rest of our lives.

@trs: Actually, I don't think you can make gray/white gold in 24k, it's too yellow. My white gold ring is 14k, I think his is 18k, but don't put money on that, or anything. I honestly don't remember and he's not around for me to check inside the band.

@rcs914: I'll be sure to go kick my jeweler in the nuts for ripping us off, then.

@Gary_7vn: Our wedding cost less than our jewelry (my band + his band + my engagement ring), about $3000. Thanks for the sarcastic good wishes!

@trs: It's a really nice custom-made gray gold band. Polished inside and satin on the outside. We looked at dozens of rings and it was by far the best. For comparison, my vintage platinum band cost $500, and is about 1/5 the width and 1/2 the thickness.

@Gimmi Mørgäikkönën: My cousin's finger was saved by his titanium ring when someone slammed a door on it. Didn't even bend. Had it been gold he would have been in major trouble.

@ColdMist: A well-made solid-gold men's wedding band costs between $1000-$2000. My husband's cost $1500, I wish I had known about these (we just got married a few months ago), much more interesting than boring old gold for the same price.

@girly: Holy shit I HOPE SO. That would be epic!

@maurasaurus: When did I say anything about racism in any context? I was speaking exclusively about homophobia in my community (and *not* Seattle as a whole), and I don't really appreciate my comment being twisted and misappropriated to another subject entirely, to make me look like some kind of brainless naif. I

@triplethreat: Thanks for this. I watched this without considering whether or not she has an eating disorder or any other explicit health problems. It's touching to see her be a human with fears and an awareness of her own limitations. It's irrelevant how those limitations came to be, and any "diagnosing" being done

@wish_i_was_hiking: I was just trying to illustrate how it is possible to live in an environment where that kind of homophobia would be shocking. If I found out that a poll of my fellow Seattleites had similar results, I would be genuinely shocked, and I think I would have good reason to be shocked, since it wouldn't

@maurasaurus: Yes, a couple of times in the last year people have been victims of hate crimes in my neighborhood. We have a lot of nightclubs, people get drunk and shit happens. I haven't witnessed any hate crimes firsthand, and the only reason I hear about them is because they're uncommon, so people talk about them.

@maurasaurus: I live in the gayest neighborhood in one of the most liberal cities in the country. I do not have any straight neighbors. I work in a liberal environment full of open-minded gay-friendly people. I was raised in a similarly gay-friendly household. I truly do not encounter openly homophobic bullshit in my

@Mensa: Maybe she has a contract? Jenny was a fairly big feature in the books, but since they threw those out the window ages ago I don't know why they'd retain one sucky character to stay true to them.

@SheelaNaGig: It's really not. I've been getting the feeling they've made her part smaller an smaller each season because she's a nightmare. Just waiting for her to get sent off to Prague or whatever, never to return.

@MifuneT: 6 hours is about right, that's how long it took Mr. Kerry to get through it on normal, and he's not exactly a wunderkind. Seemed a bit short to me, honestly.

@C.A.Mel: Yeah, but telling Betty she was acting like a child made me cheer.

@ihatediamonds: I suspect BDSM comes up because the defendant is claiming this was a consensual BDSM relationship.
