US only got the 4 speed slushbox in the FJ62. Australia, and other markets got a 5 speed option we didn't.

Why dont they just make a giant can opener that the car can glance off of at 40mph and watch it tear the car open and say “see how unsafe the car is?” what else is expected when you set a test up to bypass the main structure of a car and have it clip sheetmetal?

I had to replace mine, toyota only. IIRC it was $1100 15 years ago. Rebuilds never last. Also the carb is equally expensive.

I’m the idiot? Did I mention Pinochet? Did I use him as an example? No. You used a generalization of “right wing dictator” when I backed up with facts that basically all dictators swing left with hard socialist/facist tendencies. Maybe its YOU who needs to learn how to read, then study history.

Facist and socialist dictatorships are always left wing. Hitler is a perfect example of a facist exertion of government expansion and control for the “benefit of the people”. Albeit under a guise of nationalism, but under government support and control nonetheless. You can go down the line with dictators and leaders

That is a FJ62. They all had automatics here, and fuel injection.

I’ve owned one of these. They’re slow, get horrendously bad mileage, specific parts are expensive, you need an act of congress or god to get them to pass smog legitimately, and rust, rust, rust. However that truck was great. Still, $4200 is cheap.

You either get a good own or a bad one I think. No in between. A buddy has 135k on his 2008 and no issues. My other buddies 2008 Wolfsburg fell apart at 100k miles. I have the EA888 gen 3 so all that stuff has been fixed. Rest assured though that the engineers, engineered in some job security for themselves, the parts

I am an asshole, but I have a good, if not twisted sense of humor. Jeep community is awesome, but there’s a few oddball old curmudgeons that are up tight and would rather you stay off their lawn.

People thought the YJ was the end of Jeeps. “What? Square headlights and a dashboard! Blasphemy!”

That is a good price if the tub and frame are relatively rust free

I slow the decay. The 30th Anniversary GLI has 7600 miles on it and I’ve had it almost two years. That low useage should hopefully ensure I get some trouble free years out of it. It has GIAC tunes for the engine and DSG, downpipe with a highflow cat and exhaust. Next up is an intercooler. It hauls ass.

Also being a multi time sucker for punishment (2014 GLI is my newest) I would be taking any extension on a warranty over a debit card if it were VW offering....... these cars have an expiration date like a gallon of milk. One day its good, nexts its ready for the trash.

A friend of mine had a new WS6 Trans Am (this was like 15 years ago), mis shifted at the top of the 1/4 mile and scattered the LS1, towed it to the dealer with the time slip in the cup holder. The service advisor called him and said “all you could get out of this was a 12.9?” And warrantied the engine.............

Im guessing it just moves your 3/36k bumper to bumper to 4/60k. Which is I think inline with the powetrain warranty or close to it. For $900 if they are indeed adding 4/60 to the top of the regular warranty when it ends, thats cheap insurance and what I would take over a debit card.

A slower version of an already slow car with even harder to find parts? CP. I have driven countless E30s of all guises. My own 89 325i with a Dinan chip, Intake manifold, highflow cat and exhaust, 4.10 LSD was very fast, for an E30. Sure, the car has it’s merits, but at the same time they disappear very quickly at a

Haha, you’ve never had the Union come into your place of work “suggesting” you vote to allow the Union to come in.

And by some weird contractual obligation, Suge Knight gets half the sale amount.

And I think you’re right..... (so tempting to type “your” for fun haha)
