I think I got a good deal, please weigh in.

A retiring cowoker, on the first day I met him & also his last day of employment, urinated in my car (thru his pants) onto the passenger front seat. I was driving him from a company social event to his car at a park-n-ride, and I didn’t realize what he’d done until about 2 minutes after I dropped him off. (hmm, what’s…
$30K can put you in a low miles/no accident used Ford Focus RS.
Or buy 2, used, low mileage Focus RSs.
The whole thing is a bit odd (understatement), but I kinda dig it. I think it needs a fun two tone paint job, along the lines of anime meets neo-noire meets OG gangster-mobile. Not sure paint would help, but couldn’t hurt. It’s seems over priced at $11000, considering the mileage + mechanical issues/codes. For…
Thanks for great read.
You’re close, in 2000 this was a $2000 car. Now in 2024 this is a $5000 car!?!
Thanks for link, good read.
This is what noise cancelling headphones are for. Shit happens. I can’t say this would have improved your situation, but I would have offered to buy you & your wife cocktails.
Landing at Mitchell International airport in Milwaukee WI, flight was uneventful, descending smooth & normal, looking out window we are maybe 75-100' above runway. Plane points back upward, engines instantly get louder (accelerating) , all +150 passengers pined/pushed downward into seats, overhead bins pop open &…
These were some WEAK takes that were selected. If a car is unreliable, often unreliable, not safe, or clunky... they are BAD!
Thanks for recommendation, I’ll look it up.
I haven’t been to a movie theater in awhile, breaking that streak to see this. It looks great. I just rewatched The Raid: Redemption last week, damn that movie holds up well. Nice to see it referenced in this article & inspiring Patel. The Raid & the first Matrix movie were a couple of the only action movies where stun…
He likes unique (Juke) & wants something wagon-ish, get a Mini Clubman! He can get a used, low miles, S trim for within budget. OR stretch budget & get a used, low-ish miles, used JCW trim. What’s better than a wagon, hot-hatch masquerading as a wagon.
6'8" and a Mini driver/enthusiast. I applaud you sir.
When I was 15-ish my Dad bought one, he put on tons of miles per year for work, regularly got +40 mpg. By the time I was 17, it (CRX) already had 90K miles & was handed down to me. Dad let me drive it for 3-4 years, until it hit about 150K, then he took it back & sold it. Broke my heart. Never liked a car so much, befo…
Since he’s already a hot hatch fan, increase the power but also decrease the car budget. Save $20-25K & buy a lightly used Focus RS, Golf R or Civic Type R. But if you’re set on blowing the $60K, I think anything but the Supra will result in regrets.
I have 2 stories. First story is definitely food (legume) focused, and second story is more the results of beverages focused.
