I have a much bigger problem with  how the cops handled it than the dealership.  The dealership made a mistake, big mistake, but they assumed the car had been stolen and reported it.  If the cops surveilled the guys house for a half a day that had a lot of options in dealing with the situation other than going full

i bet if you asked them their views on social issues that you likely avoid, you’d discover you were wrong about said difference

Conservativism is a morally bankrupt ideology. Whatever you think about Musk’s politics applies equally to yourself.

Go after the cops too. I would want to expose their fake reasons for assuming he was armed, and shine a light on them to see what other questionable tactics they have used. Could expose another “goon squad”.

ahhhh, there it is!

just by aligning yourself with conservatives, it can be reasonably assumed you’re an asshole. there’s no good conservative

The report caught the attention of the Orange County Auto Theft Task Force, which traced the vehicle to Rodgers’ home in Costa Mesa and had it under surveillance all morning.”

Anyone worried about that police instruction?

And a dozen cops for a single stolen car ?

This could have been sorted out without the police. This was a possible lethal use of police resources.

It’s the socially acceptable word for everyone who wants to rant about minorities, women, and/or LGBTQ groups, but fear they’ll get fired for using the known slurs.

A dozen cops for one stolen ca . . . Oh.

I hope Rogers gets a huge win in that lawsuit and a precedent is set for other dealers to do a better job.

I don’t think ripping off Dodge is the correct take. It was not a new or novel concept that Dodge came up with.

Funny how people on the right rage against “cancel culture” while embracing it just as much as anyone else.

Surveys / polls.

This “pay to play” model for security is ridiculous. Even Precheck doesn’t make sense. Either homeland security is doing its job at identifying risks before they even enter the airport, or they’re not. The idea that paying $70 to the TSA will somehow make anyone “less of a risk” is laughable when you really think

major airlines are staunchly opposed to the change and warn that airfare could rise as a result

I just can’t understand how they looked at this completely objectively and said “yes an $80k starting price for the new Macan is great.”

The Taco only gets 24mpg with the hybrid, which is pretty disappointing honestly. The Maverick gets between 35-40mpg and is cheaper to buy
