OHIO REPRESENT

One thing that I thought of relatively recently is that George Wallace got a significant amount of votes in 1968. Quite a few people who voted for him are still alive. That makes a lot more sense to me when I look at it that way.

“God exists! He just isn’t a Notre Dame fan.”

My recollection was that the NCAA didn’t hand down the death penalty for PSU because, in part, football is the primary driver of the State College local economy. They estimated that tons of businesses would simply cease to exist without a football games at Beaver Stadium.

Truly the most amazing thing about the NFL is that you can have a guy who was signed off the street and starts the next week.  The biggest sport in the United States has a roster system of “on the roster”, “on the practice squad” or “unemployed”.

So this is about as much as we Splinter refugees should hope for, then?

LeBron in the 50s: Maybe players shouldn’t be offering support for anti-lynching laws when they’re playing games in the South.

Is it just me or are players wearing their helmets really lose these days? I remember when I played football in high school, that helmet wasn’t coming off without undoing the chin strap unless your head was still in it.

I appreciate you working through that pun.

This is Splinter now.

About twice as fast as this guy did it.
