Yeah, a lot of cars already have variable ratios.  This is a huge amount of variability and I think people are freaking out about it.  I think its a non-issue and frankly will be the standard if drive by wire is allowed. 

Since 90% of sales-monkeys are pretty much clueless about anything they sell I don’t see the issue here.
