I worked on the DC-DC converter project, did the mechanical engineering work - the casting design, and connection. It’s an aluminum housing with fins, potted inside. This is the first time I’ve ever seen the finished van. I didn’t think anything ever came of the project.

I remember back in the mid 90s, I think I was around 10 yrs old or so. There was a great aunt who had died (American, not French) and she was a lifelong smoker and smoked in her house, pretty much all the time.

I agree. This is peak T-Bird in my opinion. It has the mechanical headaches of a BMW 6-series from that era, but it has cache for those who lived through this era. This is an excellent example.
