Yeah, it’s commonly considered abuse to protect your children’s sense of self while shielding them from a huge corporate machine.

I really like most of the stuff on the Mighty Girl website.
Yeah, I don't mind Octonauts and doc mc stuffins is not bad. Not perfect but not bad. I hate the pervasiveness of it, diapers, food, CDs, toys, ornament etc forever. I focus on blocks and crafts, reading, etc. all that pink makes me gag.
I'm not unpacking that for you.
My husbands side of the family needed firm rules, and the stuff is so insidious that I took a firm stance. We have one plastic cup they play with in the tub. I am more ok with the Disney vehicles like Octonauts or Doc McStuffins, we have one generic princess puppet as well. I actually just threw out a copy of Snow…
That dog is adorable..yet somehow poignant and world weary.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if the NRA was sued to cover the cost of all this?
Mmmm. I do not let them have police toys either
Fuck that. Princess free, the way to be. I banned Disney and it’s GLORIOUS.
Check out Mister Money Mustache.
I love that you told me this, I hope she as nice memories of them as you do.
They have a few at her big brother’s kindergarten and she LOVES them. They have a great...weight to them? They feel really nice in your hand, you can tell how well they are made. I am super duper excited to give it to her. The stable is adorable, Santa will totally pop for it if she likes them enough next year.
My son is just like them and he already is an even match with me for puzzles. He will be better and faster than me next year.
Yeah, I mean I feel like they are making the show from a place of affection. I remember at a NYE party everyone tried to teach me to use the binary clock. Then we looked at our houses on that satellite thing. Google Maps? I am the outsider, I have a math learning disability and married into a family of engineers.
I do really know people that are so much like them. They’re out there.
My son is SO like Sheldon. I find Sheldon endearing. He did not “pass” the autism text though. He’s just reeeally engineer-y.
Oooo horsie! We got my almost 2 year old this. And we bought our three year old an apron, two wee wisks, and I am getting a muffin mix for him to make muffins Christmas morning, he is going to die. Our oldest wanted this jenky toy that had really bad reviews, we managed to convince him to put an alternate toy , thank…
I loved the turkey. I bought one for my kids. I do not ever get tired of it. That phone can burn in hell, my kids kept throwing it.

I love this show, try and think of it as a documentary. I am married to an engineer with engineer friends and a freaking rocket scientist brother in law and it is THE REALEST. Sadly, I am the less hot Penny.
