Came here to say exactly this.

This car has several things going for it:

I appreciate his honesty, but the issues the car presents with make it a CP at, well, pretty much any price. Right off the bat it needs a clutch master cylinder, which isn’t expensive or hard, but it’s something I have to do. It needs coilovers, which isn’t hard, but again, something I have to do. It needs a CEL

If I had to choose one (and had the money), a steering wheel would be awesome.

A V8, RWD, manual wagon? Someone pinch me!

Doesn’t he already have a cool, reliable ride that he can cruise around California in?

Why is this thing almost 20k?

I’m 6'3" and have zero size issues w/ my ‘17 GTI.

NP I’m a sucker for a good Saab story.

There’s a run down house near mine with a green Range Rover about the same vintage as the one above. I’ve NEVER seen it move. It’s on jack stands, or the hood is popped, or there are parts next to it on the driveway. I did see it running, once, but nobody was near it. I think it was trying to escape.

I am not above temptation. I too sometimes think of throwing it all away for Volkswagen Corrado ownership.

This is the personification of

There’s an ESPN article today from their Browns beat writer titled “Trading No. 1 pick for Jimmy Garoppolo might not be crazy idea”. Not a first-rounder, mind you, the actual top pick in the draft. This is, in fact, a completely batshit insane idea, right?

With the way Land Cruiser prices are right now, this is an absolute no brainer. It’ll be a lot of work but you could easily wind up with a $20k truck. And a very cool one at that.

So close. Hardest CP decision I’ve ever made. 14 large just seems a little too much for a car that isn’t quite perfect.

S60 Polestar in Swedish Racing Green should be the only answer.

At 13 he should already have a couple of karting championships under his belt. Tell me he won the national championship in the most competitive class, and I would be impressed. This no so much. This looks like a gross display of wealth.

Pretty much this. People who are born into money have everything so much easier. When I was 13 I was competing on cross country bicycles and soap box stuff because I couldn’t afford karting like I wanted to do.
