Oh please. Don't give me that shit. If they were so concerned about their kids they wouldn't be rude when their job is to, among a few other things, NOT BE RUDE.

Oh yeah I saved so much money the 3 times I didn't tip because of shit service. I'm rolling in dough.

I don't take offense, and I always appreciate the constructive disagreements. I get that it's frustrating because I'm sure there are TONS of people who don't tip simply because they are cheap, or because they are snooty.

I ... must ... have .... it .....

I can afford it. But I'm not tipping for rude service. Nor is it a reason to sit with a manager and possible have someone lose a job. I'd rather just not tip, and not return to the establishment.

I'm a narcissist because I know I'm good at my job? I'm sorry then, I'd rather have a narcissist 100% of the time. I don't want to go to a hospital and have a surgeon that is "just having an off day". No, I want him to think he's the best surgeon in the history of medicine.

I do tip people. Never said I didn't.

I'm not married, or fat, but sure, I'll get on that.

They work as servers because the tips they can make are more than they would make working for the minimum wage. They aren't doing it because they have no options. Any server is intelligent enough to work any other minimum wage job you can find for them. They don't because the good days they can walk away with

I understand. But my point isn't cheapness. I disagree with the notion that I should be forced to pay for rude service.

I am awesome at my job every single fucking day because I make a living doing it and I'm not a pretentious asshole who wants money for walking in the door regardless of how they act.

So far I've been a sack of shit, I've been told to take my dollars saved the 3 times I haven't tipped and buy a gun and shoot myself, been told I'm obviously poor, an asshole, cheap douche.

I have a responsibility to give someone a tip if they are rude to me? I call bullshit.

You're right. No one on the planet works anything but 9-5 Monday through Friday.

I'm defending myself from the torrent of hatred. I'm saying it's enough for me. Be mediocre at your job and I'll tip you. That's all.

So suck it up then. Either way, you should be enough of a professional regardless of your job to be able to do it decent.

I could give a shit about focus. I'm talking about having had a rude server. Not someone who was in their own head and quiet.

Haha the good fight against boredom at home. I shall not be moved.

That's a new one. No I'm not poor. I make a comfortable living

But my point is you know the system before you get into the industry. You KNOW it. So why not just slap on a fake smile, be a decent person regardless of what's going on at home and get your money. It's not insane to suggest that you should be decent at your job, whatever it is.
