This is true. Although I usually read them if I’m on the fence about a game to see if it tips me one way or another.

I’m just playing devils advocate, but you can enjoy an overall mediocre game for what it does well. For example, I probably dropped 30+ hours into Destiny which had a mediocre at best story and broken loot structure, because I found other parts of it to be entertaining (combat mostly)

I agree with you. I remember being at a friends house taking turns on single player games and watching and talking about them. It was fun, and these types of videos also kind of tickle that nostalgia button.
