I think it’s more the second paragraph than anything else.  By hiring her, Cuban wants to avoid all stigma.  Yes, she was a great hire, but that doesn’t mean he should be able to skate or avoid approbation.  And he can’t just point to “Cynt” (he calls her that) any time anyone brings up these issues.  

Money.  Cold Hard Cash.  An undischargeable debt that will haunt him for the rest of his life the same way that money fucks with 99% of the population.  

This seems unnecessarily cynical because it is most likely not true. Cuban has shown a proclivity for not firing people (even when he absolutely should).  He’s loyal to a fault. I don’t know why that would change with Marshall, especially with the magnifying glass trained on him.  

You should also realize you’re awareness and general skill as a driver is going to get worse, not better, as a driver and you should avail yourself of all proper safety techniques.  (And there absolutely is a proper way to adjust your mirrors, and you’re not doing it).
