Guy IS correct that he opt-ed out BUT 9ers GM was on record saying he would have been cut. So it’s not like he was going to get what he was contractually obligated to get. 

John Lynch said he would have relased Kap had Kap not opt-ed out of his contract. So they also said they “wouldn’t rule out him returning.”
