Why can’t you quit race-baiting and stop making everything political? Quit trying to excuse the poor and illegal behavior of criminals.

Used to think Level 2 was not actually something that I'd care for because it seems very much a compromise. Then I experienced it recently and I'll never buy a car without it.

They made a video where they put cones on each side so the car couldn’t change course, and had the driver press down on the accelerator, causing a warning that AEB won’t work. Then they made the video too low resolution to read screen, but it’s easy to determine that the message is there.

True, but the only people more obsessed with Tesla than its fan are Jalopnik readers who do not like Tesla.

I’ve more more or less stopped coming to this site after almost two decades. I stopped commenting regularly years ago because for some reason Kinja and Chrome for IOS don’t get along. The articles and writing at just bitchy and awful now. Not surprised the comment areas are baren.

I’m as critical of Tesla as they come, but this is silly.

For everyone bashing on Rivian for complaining here: They would get this tax benefit for their consumers as things are now. The new legislation would remove the benefit for them going forward. They’ve counted on this benefit as a part of their model/success/etc...

I’m not saying they should or shouldn’t get this, or

Dumb. They are going after owners rather than going after the dealers. Why not focus on the massive ADMs?

Dealers are going to love this because now they have no used car market to compete with and they can charge whatever they want.

If there ever was a good excuse for a slideshow we’d all click through...

I have a feeling that many of these cases will turn out to be the drivers’ fault and the investigations will reveal that the driver should have been paying attention, whether or not the Tesla driving aids were being used. This could be like the unintended acceleration cases that actually wound up being caused by

One doesn’t typically round off cents when dealing with single digit dollars.

Anyway, the national average price for a gallon of gas now sits at $4.41"

It does seem like a pretty strange scheme to be involved in. “

“The most” didn’t mean “all.” It reflects on the general state of car manufacturing. It also means that all US Teslas are made in the US, which is mostly because they only have 4 factories so far, and two are in the US.

The 0-60 times you mean? There are a zillion YouTube videos confirming the Plaid’s time to 60.

Jalopnik’s anti tesla leaning is so obvious. I don’t know how an automotive enthusiast blog can ever call 2s 0-60 just “slightly” faster than 2.6s. I know these numbers don’t appeal to everyone but I can assure you that a 23% improvement in 0-60 is something some automotive enthusiasts would spend tens of not hundreds

Mostly the same on the outside, but pretty much every mechanical part has been updated. The interior is also entirely new.

I’m guessing you never bought anything on Amazon either; or been to Walmart; or bought gas; or paid taxes.

Tesla owner for almost 4 years in the northeast here. Saw my first line this 4th of July weekend, caused not be too many Teslas, but by half of the charging spots blocked by gas vehicles. Fortunately there are quite a lot of charging stations, so I just drove to the next one on my route instead of waiting. Usually
